This course introduces the student to information systems as

developed and maintained in a typical business environment.

This is the first course for MIS majors and minors. Topics

include an overview of information systems in business

organization, hardware, software, telecommunications,

networking, internet, electronic commerce, algorithm design,

data representation, and programming in Visual Basic.
